Common Admission Test is an entrance exam conducted by IIMs for admission into MBA and other postgraduate courses in India. Candidates appearing in the exam have to clear the CAT cutoff to be selected for the personal interview rounds for IIMs and other B schools. Candidates have to clear the sectional CAT cutoff which includes Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. CAT cutoff for IIM is higher as compared to other B-schools like FMS, MDI MICA, etc. The CAT cutoff for the year 2024 will range from 95 to 100 percentile making CAT one of the toughest examinations.
Candidates appearing for the CAT 2024 make themselves aware of the selection criteria of the various colleges and universities. CAT cutoff, personal interview, and written test are combined for admission into MBA courses. The CAT cutoff for IIM will be declared by IIMs and other business schools after the conclusion of the CAT exam 2024.
